A lovely little corner cafe in New Zealand's traditional coffee Mecca. I ordered a flat white and a date & walnut loaf. Very very nice coffee and the loaf was a nice accompanying item. I had read the reviews and feel they have upped their game. All staff were friendly and helpful. A nice relaxing time with an enjoyable cup.
As I walked in I expected big thing. The cafe has old roasters, grinders as well as a variety of beans on display. As I got the coffee I was a little disappointed the Cappuccino was a good temperature. However it was bitter and held plain flavours that showed very little complexities. Overall I have been very impressed with Wellington coffee, this did not live up to it's standards. Staff where friendly enough but clearly did not want to be here and it showed. Final thought: Although this little place looks the part the coffee does not taste the part.
