By far my favorite place in Wellington!!! Good coffee, good people, good treats but limited, off the busy street with an industrial look ... A MUST try > their Siphon Coffee Maker! Sit at the bar and enjoy :):):):)

Outstanding crew bringing out the best in Peoples Coffee in Wellington. A Siphon Bar to boot!!!! Tait the new Barista (ex-Mojo) adds to a great feel that sets Lamason apart from the other Cafe's in Wellington.

Great shop, quite hidden and serving a great cup of coffee, People's beans on a San Marco, service was super friendly and I felt very welcome here having a chat with the new barista, who came from Mojo, whoever you are you served me a sterling cappuchino amazing coffee and amazing service

One of Wellington's best and most reliable coffee shops in an unpromising and hard to find location, converted from an old public toilet at the bottom of a multi-storey car park! Mercifully both the ambience and the coffee bear no echoes of its former function. Top quality People's brews. And superlative cheese scones.

I've got to say, I have tried most cafes around central Wellington and none come close to Lamason. They serve the BEST most consistent coffee. You'll find me there every week day without fail. To add to their magnificent coffee Dave and Emily are hospitable and helpful. Keep up the good work guys.

I was really impressed with this cafe. The interior is beautiful, and lovely to sit in. Staff were friendly, and one staff member in particular was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Espresso was great. Siphon was slightly too strong, and slightly under-extracted, but still a very nice drink. They've got a great set up, and it's fun to watch the siphons being made. I really recommend checking this one out. With so many cafes in Wellington, this one stands out.
