reviewed Mambo Coffee Maroochydore

Have read its reviews and passed this interesting place many times. Decide to give it a try. I'm afraid we were disappointed in the coffee. Quite ordinary, ultra small cups(expresso type not cap. type) and mine was almost cold. It wasn't busy and we are not sure why it was so cool. We ordered two caps and they were more like flat whites. My husband thought the barista may have been in training as they advertise training. Unsure. On the positive side the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere is casual and unpretentious. There is a view of the Maroocyhdore estuary which is lovely but that is only achieved looking beyond the traffic out front. Unrelated to the coffee but all part of the scene was the brownie that we decided to nibble on. It was a lovely homemade, flour based variety, brownie. It was all of 6cm square and unfortunately an unexpected $4.50. Just hate being ripped off. As my husband said- This is the first and the last visit. What a shame, had expected better.
