Love the coffee at this place. They use Tim Adams who I love to support because he sources his coffee ethically, and the baristas here are top quality. They also use single origin beans for all long blacks and short coffees so great for those who really appreciate a good coffee.
Just tried the new single origin they have here upon Cara's (the barista) recommendation. Generally I would have the blend (as I drink a soy latte) but it worked great. Fruity and smooth. I have never had s bad coffee here and it's the only spot I go now on the strip. And those cakes are divine too! The lady on the register (I think her name is Viv) is always super friendly too. An asset to any business.
Not sure what Hamish is talking about. If you look closely the machine at Lot 104 has 3 timers which time each shot. When it's busy I see the Barista move fast but she also throws out any under or over extracted shots using only the quality ones. She doesn't need to watch every shot. I see they use scales to calibrate too. I come here often and chat with the friendly staff and unfortunately I think the freshness of the beans is sometimes a problem and may affect the body and flavour, but the new management are rectifying this. Great Tim Adams Coffee, beautifully texturised milk.
