Busy Saturday morning however I was able to nab a seat on the side.. After the somewhat hostile service our coffee arrived pretty quickly.. My exposure to the Mecca bean has been limited so I didnt know what to expect.. In saying that I was very impressed - smooth with a lovely lingering after taste.. Look forward to trying out the other locations..
This is a great coffee and brunch spot for many reasons - the coffee is a bit hit and miss depending on the barista but overall a nice smooth blend - not too strong so ask for a double shot if strong if your thing. Great food menu and tables for a leisurely lunch or brunch
It had been a while since my last visit. Newtown and Enmore have beckoned instead more recently. Neither Bar nor Din were in so service was judged as an unknown. It was Sunday lunchtime and there was barely a seat vacant. I was led out the back and offered the last place at a communal table but I decided to try my luck outside and found a seat. It was pleasant with its shade and light breeze. My flat white came quickly but with a gentle "lecture" that non-takeaway customers were expected to pay as they ordered. My bad it seems, but I wasn't asked to pay by the girl that took my order. I hadn't noticed a sign so didn't know the drill. I understand where they are coming from but it's the server's responsibility not mine. </rant> My flat white was as expected. Well made. Smooth. Balanced.
