I found the coffee to be quite horrible and after really looking forward to a Sunday morning brew found this very disappointing. It was a sophisticated mix of wrongness: My Soy Flat White was watery with no depth of flavour, character or length. No lift or bite or florals, no aromatics or any other note of interest. There was instead a dead-pan personality and a sickly taste in the milk that was very off-putting. The other coffee, a Latte, was no better. I'm not sure if an inexperienced/untrained barista has the grind set wrong and the machine pressure incorrect, or whether the owner/manager has tried to save a few cents on cheaper beans, or by buying budget milk... It was too hard to isolate. Perhaps the owners have simply taken their eye of the ball? This poor quality beverage is well below par compared to other businesses in the complex. Granted the service was fast and polite, and the cup was maybe 50c cheaper than average but this is not Chatswood train station, or any other cut-price market. Serving this up here will see the business struggle to make a profit in the long run. I'd direct the discerning coffee drinker a few minutes away to Abbott St or Laneway or Bean Central and be assured that Cammeray is better represented elsewhere.
