This cafe is now Black Seed Espresso, & from the look of earlier reviews it’s all changed. The Campos coffee is well made, as the locals obviously all know, as there was a huge queue for takeaway. Atmosphere is pleasant but ordinary & so is the food. Service on my visit was stressed & slow - an Asian husband/wife team (I assume) coping with 6 tables on the go plus the takeaways - but friendly. On balance this place really deserves to succeed & the coffee is excellent if you don’t mind the wait.
One other thing to mention though - they generally close around 3pm (much to my frustration sometimes), and if you are after food, aim to get there to order by 2:30pm at the latest. Even though their profile here mentions they are open until 5:30pm, that's never the case - 3pm is pretty much the end of their day.
We moved just over the road from this place a few months ago, so I was very happy to discover they do decent meals and great coffee. I've been there many times now, and with the exception of one time when their regular barista (she's excellent!) wasn't there, the coffee has been very good.
Needing a coffee on the way to a meeting near Chatswood I turned to trusty bean hunter and found this place. Myself and two others thought the coffee was brilliant, and service warm, and efficient. A great taste, wonderful texture, may be a bit too milky for some but I thought it balanced out quite nicely! Not sure what some reviewers have complained about, this will be my go to cafe in Chatswood, I'm so glad I've found it.
