A café with a nice atmos, and staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee was pretty decent. Had the house blend which was a Brazilian bean with cocoa and orange blossom flavours. As a dbl ris latte, the coffee was well-balanced and improved in flavour as the coffee cooled. The food was very tasty. Would definitely come back again for just the coffee or food as well.
Straight up really solid cafe, I'm there quite regular for my studies, lunch with my Ms or just the quick takeaway before work, coffee never disappoints, very consistent quality and always served timely (never missed a train)! Service is relaxed and friendly, atmosphere as well, cosy but neat, enough space, no overbearing music and a lovely sun drenched courtyard. My highlight however is definitely the food, try what you may and die happily! :D If you are after a dessert, even if you aren't gluten free (I'm not!) try the GF orange cake topped with yoghurt, it is so moist and yummy that I am salivating just thinking of it. If you want a filling lunch, have the the Goblin Burger! The menus is extensive but not overwhelming, I feel like they hit the spot! Overall: always a reason to return!
I quite enjoy the food offered at Goblin Cafe. I've had the hot cakes and eggs benedict with honey-port cured bacon. Devine! If only they offered a general 'big breakfast'. The coffee is unfortunately mediocre. I find the boys behind the bar to be very passive, bordering on rude but I've sat in and enjoyed the table service of the waitresses.
