After being closed for several months this cafe has recently reopened as ‘Charlotte’s’. Owned and run by an enthusiastic and attentive guy who makes great coffee. Food options are limited and the courtyard isn’t much fun when it’s wet. But it’s a great place to chill for 20 minutes on a fine day and the coffee is the best in Cammeray whatever the weather.
Ok so finally got to try this place as always closed when I am in the area. Remember you have lots of choice for food and coffee in the area. My bacon and egg roll was ok, nothing too special but get real I came here to try the campos coffee. Firstly you have a lot better food options available in the area so if your wanting a lunch/breakfast menu go somewhere else. The chalk board had only 6 options for the day? Now the coffee, my campos flat white was ok and nothing too special. Did taste a little weak. However compare it to other coffees available and it's the best out of the four cafes within 50 metres. For me if you just want coffee then this should be your pit stop, if you are looking for more then go somewhere else.
By far the best coffee in Cammeray and one of the better brews on the lower north shore. Visited twice recently after having been living o/s and was relieved to discover this place still does justice to the Campos beans. The little courtyard out the back works well too I think. Although it was not the pre-commute rush, service was speedy and friendly. Food/snack options are a bit lacking but at least it means you know they are focused on the coffee! Don't be fooled by alley-way/arcade location - the best places often are just off the main drag right? Worth seeking out.
