Service was average, seemed a little disinterested in my specific order. Coffee was reasonable but not as good as some of there closer competition. A shame- as in the past Good Bean has always had a good consistent high quality product- 6 months ago the Big Top store had a group of young guys and girls who were outstanding - the staff of recent are off the boil and unfortunately you have lost me as a regular local- trust one day I can return.
The coffee is really good and definitely worth the visit. Service and atmosphere aren't though; you will take awhile to get served and receive your coffee. It is quickly forgotten once you try your coffee. Maybe it just takes longer for a good coffee at this place. Atmosphere- what's to say it's a floating cafe in a shopping centre. I would go again if it wasn't busy.
The girl working took a solid 8 minutes to make two mugs of coffee whilst having the mother of all yarns to her friend on the other side of the machine, before proceeding to make my two coffees. Her apology for the wait dripped unconvincingly with the sentiment that she couldn't possibly have worked any quicker. Her eyes glistened with deceit. Little did she know I was watching her the whole time as she regaled her disinterested friend with tales of her disappointing weekend at the Helm. When my drinks arrived, they were half the strength I'd requested, but the coffee had been extracted beautifully, and I guess in some ways it was entertaining watching the neck-and-neck race between the coffee girl and continental drift.
