Was very busy Thursday morning, pastries and toasties cooking, people on the free wifi. I believe it was an ECM pulling my coffee.. My first Sweden based coffee Palombini coffee, judging by the name, it is Italian maybe.. And it's flavours would suggest the same. Very bold and traditional in tastes, that initial bite up front mellows in to a nice strong earthy coffee.. Watching the pour it was a little under dosed and coarse in set up.. But they were getting slammed.. The service was fast and efficient.. And the smiles were there to see Definitely recommend.
If hipster watching is your thing, then please, look no further. While there are plenty of hip cafes in the Södermalm area, this cafe seemed to have a particularly fine slice of the hipster ecosystem. The place was buzzing, with a mostly young crowd, but certainly a very groovy one. All the staff were in their twenties, cool, competent and conscious of their look! The energy of the place was a lot of fun. My coffee was fine, but tended very much towards a ristretto, which I was not expecting, given the other coffees I've had in my time here. This meant it was harder to get a sense of the blend and its finer points - with an overwhelming impression of a bitter dark roast. Good-enough coffee, I would suggest, but you're really here for the atmosphere. There's also another branch in Normalm, if you're on the other side of the city.
