The coffee is nothing special. The service neither (although I had a caffe al banco, standing so I can't really judge it). But when in Rome, take a coffee here (standing at the buffet it will cost less than 2 euro) because it's worth the experience!

After a cappuccino and an espresso, it is definitely not a specialty coffee. It may be the oldest, most decorated and so on, but the coffee is good at most. If you want regular good coffee, good frothing, and an Italian old fashioned atmosphere and expensive coffee!!

Caffe Greco opened its doors in 1760. It is (as I understand it) the oldest bar in Rome and is iconic just as it is an experience worth paying for. One espresso is €6 but can you really argue with that? \n\nThe service - as you would expect given the area it\'s in - is second to none. And the coffee really is very, very good.
