Coffee - weak 1 shot flat whites were described as “don’t worry they are quite strong”. But espressos were overextracted and bitter. The filter was just a bit bland. (I was there with coffee people so we tried every coffee drink). I suspect due to the volume and the focus on food that the barista variability just results in coffee variability. I’m sure the people, machine and beans can all produce a great coffee, but if you are just one of the masses Food is excellent. You have to love eggs, bacon, pancakes. Oddly the poached eggs are perfectly runny on the inside, but the white is a bit hard and rubbery. Flavours are great though.
If you are looking for a Melbourne esk feel with pumping food and service this is the number 1 place to go in all of Paris. My wife and I came back twice after touring Europe to get that double res. 6 ounce FW you’ve all been craving. Outstanding menu and with the motto “it’s good because we care.” Couldn’t ring truer. One of the coffee and food highlights of a 4 week tour of Western Europe.
