This quickly became our daily local since moving back to Newcastle from Sydney. Never disappoints- brilliant coffee, always good service, great wholesome foods & the best vibes. Highly recommend!

Coffee was good. Service good. If you like beige, or driving in the middle of the road, core espresso is the place for you!!
Two delicious perfectly balanced LBs enjoyed in back courtyard. Rich golden cream topped a cup of lively fruits and cocoa. Would have stayed for a third if not for work being intrusive.
Good strong coffee, bit too strong for my taste though. Good space inside with a long share table. I had the most amazing salad here, it has some great lunch options! The service was fine, just the usual vibe. I went there a few days in a row during quiet hours and the staff leave you alone. If you're looking for a friendly local who'll learn your name, this isn't the scene.
Coffee is consistent and just an all round good milky coffee. Nothing to rave about but above average.
Went to Core this afternoon for the first time for a late lunch and a coffee. The food was delicious and my latte was strong and smooth. Staff were friendly and knew their stuff when it came to chatting with customers about their beans. Cute and cosy place. I'd recommend Core if you're looking for a coffee on Darby.

Espresso on the blend was confused in flavour and not so good. The FW worked much better, had nice flavour and well treated milk.

Cold brew had a mild flavour but was very drinkable.

Light acidity over some green apple sweet/tartness on the Rwandan espresso went down very well.
