Even though I miss the original brothers who opened this place, I still enjoy visiting Workshop. The new owner, Dong, is such a lovely man. He has gone far and beyond to learn all the ins and outs about coffee, and has a great team behind him. I have to say, some of the best coffee roasted by Axil, has been enjoyed here. Dong does their beans the justice it deserves. Its so nice to see a café owner who knows what's important when running a café.

While I do miss John and the Taing brothers, the new owners are lovely! The coffee is now solely from Axil, and my long black using Costa Rican single origin beans, was just as the tasting notes suggested.

Outstanding in this area - Coffee smooth creamy and balanced. Food is also excellent but the coffee is what makes this place special.

The quality of coffee has definitely gone down since the brothers are no longer there. Temperature of the coffee is too high.

I came in around 7 am. The place was slightly empty. The guy in front of me got the wrong order, wasn't a good start. I ordered peanut butter waffles. The food was good. Slightly too sweet for my taste. But I can't fault otherwise. I also ordered filter coffee. I wanted something different from espresso. Sadly I was disappointed with my coffee. It was flavourless. The choice for the coffee cup was interesting to say the least. The atmosphere was nice. The food arrived promptly. Coffee also. But I can't say I'll be back for a second cup. It's sad I drove 20 minutes for this. Alas, lesson learned.

New owner Dong made me a nice long black from AXIL beans - in this case a Columbian multi-varietal blend lacking the wow factor. (A risky move to substitute Monk.)
