Great service - friendly, chilled and accommodating. Ordered 2 doppios whilst waiting 1.5hrs for my partner and they were happy for me just to relax and knock out work on my tablet. Coffee was better than most

Loved it!! Coffee was stunning, and the hot chocolates just beautiful and rich! Had a gorgeous little truffle with my coffee and went down a treat!

Interesting place with some very interesting wallpaper. The service was good but the coffee was not amazing. Flat white was mellow but not strong. The long black had serious crema but the flavor was lacking.

If I could take this interior and place it in my house, I would in a wink; the most delightful interior, absolutely incredible chocolates (including free samples), perhaps the best muffin I've ever had the joy of eating (almond topped with dry fig), great gift ideas and sweet staff. And, best of all very good and very consistent short macchiato.

If you ever wondered where you could specifically choose from 21%, 70% or 100% cocoa, pick Ghanaian over Tanzanian chocolate or simply taste some cocoa dusted roasted almonds, look no further. A delightfully charming addition to smith street, monsieur truffe is a specialty chocolate store which manages to pump out a mean coffee too. A friend described this place to me as "Atomica's coffee with better decor". The decor is Japanese-stationary-shop mixed with the 70s. The result is a remarkably relaxing feel. John lennon's CD 'imagine' was followed by some Lionel Ritchie classics in the background, and service was friendly, funny, polite and fast. I ordered a pain au chocolat, apparantly a specialty here, and was greeted by an almost spherical beauty of a pastry. Biting in revealed a gloriously light and airy pastry, with rich chocolate. Quite possibly the best pain au chocolate I've ever had. The coffee was smooth and strong. Sadly, there were no unique flavours to the coffee. That said, one of the better drops north of Melbourne. Try it out!
