I love this quaint hole-in-the wall spot. Using a fairly light roast means the coffee isn’t super strong which allows you to pick out and appreciate the unique aromats and flavour notes. To enhance the natural profile of the coffee no alternative milks are used because they hide the beautiful product. I choose black coffee all the way. Last visit was a stunning Ethiopian pour over and the espresso and filter beans I brought home have been stellar. Worth every cent!
Granted it probably needs to be a beautiful sunny day to appreciate the atmosphere here, but it was for me and it added to experience. Absolutely beautiful Rwandan pour over, with obvious care taken in the brewing. Subtle, nuanced tasting notes and silky smooth mouth feel - would love to go back when next in Melbourne.
