Gorgeous delicatessen on Bridge Road, the smells were amazing, the choice wonderful. Cheeses, dried fruits, nuts, pastas and all good stuff. However, I really should focus on the coffee. My usual skinny cap was quite nice, especially with my almond biscuit! The coffee was smooth, though it had a hint of bitterness. I quite enjoyed sitting outside under the heaters while the world past by. A nice relaxing place to visit for a quick coffee while you choose goodies for your antipasto plate.
In my ongoing quest for good coffee on Bridge Road, Laikon Deli caught my eye. Cute little flowers surround the outdoor seating. Upon entering, I discovered that the six or so chairs outside were the only chairs for this deli. Inside though, remarkable cheeses and salamis, amongst other small goods, catch both the eyes and nose of anybody nearby. The service is pleasant without being special. The coffee was too hot and was a little burnt, and not creamy. There were no special qualities or flavours. It was, however, drinkable. My quest continues!
