This is a wonderful restaurant/cafe, the service was lovely and the setting was stylish and relaxing. The coffee was drinkable, nothing special but at that end of Bridge Rd it's the only place I would go to! I had a skinny cap, the texture was good but a little bitter for my liking. Very interested in going back for dinner, with a spit roast in summer!!
I stumbled across this cafe whilst looking for somewhere open after 5 o'clock on Bridge Road. From the outside, Ilios looks a little up-market, but unshaven and dressed in slightly too casual clothes they welcomed me with open arms. What was recently just a cafe, the owners have now done up to include traditional Greek cuisine. The front half of the cafe is modern with a few booths and tables, whilst the back is a bar with dining tables. At 5.30pm, the atmosphere was truly relaxing. A few people were enjoying their Lavazza outside, and it was just us inside. The service was very friendly and I had a good chat with the owner's cousin, who kindly served me a piece of baclava which was almost too dense! The coffee was nice but not anything special. In the peaceful setting and with kind service, it makes a nice place to visit. I'll have to go back for the outdoor spit :)
