Long black was delish - fruity, right temp and good crema. Service a little officious - insisted on telling me that she could not take my table-service sit-in order if I did not have table. Not very obvious the place is table service so could have easily just said where would you like to sit and we'll bring it to you.
At 9am on a weekday morning the cosy space was at capacity with local office workers getting their morning fix. Although it was so busy, the service was excellent which added to the buzzing vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed a long black with their daily single origin (Colombian), acidity with just enough bite and good mouth feel. The food was quite nice also - simple and fresh. I luckily stumbled across Eclipse by chance - the hotel I found late the night before after a cancelled flight was next door. Hopefully I'll make it back.
Tucked away in a secluded corner below the Rialto, Eclipse's offerings did not disappoint this curious coffee connoisseur. The limited food menu is comfortable yet adventurous for a quiet weekend breakfast. The decor and ambiance was pleasant with soft music accompanying our dine-in experience and the coffee itself was delectable, one would rate it with the best. Top show, Eclipse.
Tucked away behind Collins Street, this cafe is a hidden world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The dimmed lights set the scene, which promote a moody chilled back feel. Coffee is brilliant, both as a black and white (house blend). This place gets busy pretty quick, which is no surprise
