Why did I go to Dimattina, right? Girl wanted to meet me there. Ugh........... But........ Don’t let the tuck shops selling the stuff fool you, these guys dish up the goods at their home ground. Re-think what you thought you knew about Dimma and visit their house.
Open 6 days a week (closed sunday), this cafe offers all of the best coffee blends by Dimattina, including Single origins. The cafe has a European feel, which is complimented by the Dimattina training school attached at its rear. Here you will find a range of coffee machines, both commercial and domestic, as well as other coffee equipment and retail coffee. If you are not in a rush, you can sit at the back section next to a fireplace while you sip your cup of goodness. Food is delicious, with a breakfast and lunch menu. We tried the house blend, Prima tazza, in the latte and short black. Both were a full bodied and full flavoured coffee, with a smooth creamy finish. Great consistency, and a credit to blend. The hazelnut notes did come through in the short blacks aftertaste. The single origin from Costa Rica was tried as a ristretto, and really packed a punch! Perfect acidity, with a dark chocolate finish. Staff are very friendly, and Barrista 'Candy' has an obvious passion for coffee, with flawless latte art skills.
