A trip to Melbourne means a visit to Brother Baba Budan. It's an essential location for those passionate about their coffee. The product is always excellent. Even though I've been gone for months, nothing has changed and they're still producing beautiful coffee. Combine that with the quirky decor and you've got a wonderful inner city coffee experience.
Funky little place, big queue but fast flowing. Staff was great, but can’t get into the coffee. We had a flat white and a mocha and the mocha is bitter. I expect they use quite a raw chocolate powder which is cool for some I’m sure but not what we were expecting. The flat white somehow also tasted a bit raw, not unpleasant but quite a flat taste. Maybe our expectations were too high. Overall a nice experience.
Amazing space, amazing service and amazing coffee. Looks like a long line up out the door (which is a good sign of quality) but man they move it quickly. Exceptional attentive service also eg they asked for our opinion on the coffee to help select beans to take home. Will be back here next time I’m in Melbourne.
Super popular cafe with the queue stretching out to the street. Great vibes with communal table and natural melbourne sunshine streaming through large front window. I had a piccolo: Seven seeds seasonal blend. Beautiful drop. Lovely friendly staff. I Love melbourne!!!
