I was very dubious in choosing this place for my daily cup, but considering my partner really wanted to go I gave it a shot. It was mediocre at best. Not the worst I've had, but definitely over extracted and very bitter. It's normally best when selecting a place to go for coffee that you choose a place that looks like the machine is used regularly, otherwise you may find that you're drinking beans that have been sitting in the grinder for nearly a week or two. Atmosphere was okay, staff were friendly.

All things considered this is a coffee based website so ignoring the annoying aspect of too much food to choose from, this place is ok.I think the coffee may be over extracted or something is abit miss here but the milk is very well textured and i'm sure the not so fussy people who come here will enjoy their cuppa.and if you need to know about the food,it is actually quite nice and fresh. Not a bad venue.

Being that it's winter and there isn't much to do I've spent the past week off work gallivanting around St.Kilda and Balaclava, checking out all the local cafes. Abbey Road you are a quirky joint! Absolutely love the 90's tunes played during the day! The mornings atmosphere is very uplifting but at night I find it a little morbid. Yes it's gloomy winter time but please play music that is more inviting in the late evenings. Coffee is very average for the area.... Yes, I must agree with the precious review, so much on the menu to the point where it took me forty minutes to decide. I like the fact you offer so much but it is a little too hard to choose. Food is good though (in between pub food and fine dining depending on what I order). I ended up ordering a range of appetizers... How can anyone commit to a full meal when there is so much to offer!? Love the bar and cocktails! Order crowd that the place attracts can be a tad feral though. Foreign girl who waited on me came across as rude and abrupt but probably just a language barrier. Service needs tweaking. Nothing worse than cocky staff/management. Depending on the night and atmosphere I will come again for a booze sesh and a drunken feed.

This cafe/restaurant/bar, owned by a couple of Greek Cypriots who 'have a passion for music', is a bit of fun in terms of the décor and music, but not worthwhile in terms of coffee and quality food. Their extensive menu offers variety and some more creative options (strawberry bruschetta with ricotta?!?) but is really nothing special, and is a bit hit-and-miss. Coffee was average but drinkable - short macchiato was a bit frothy for my liking and slightly bitter, though there was some nice latte art on the coffees of my friends. Service was okay - friendly English girls were helpful when asked but not very attentive (empty water jugs etc.) and it took a while for our drinks and food to come. Probably would be better to go to the bar in the evening.
