Coffee: Slightly old beans used, resulting in weaker and bitter extraction. Usually good Kiwi coffee though, with very nostalgic south-hemisphere tastes. Little choice of blends. Service: Staff don't speak or converse very freely. Not particularly helpful in choosing drinks. Take-away solves all. Atmosphere: Lots of room downstairs, with space for laptops etc... Usually very busy though. Awesome industrial-style decor. Toilets for the skinny only! Food: Amazing brownies. Good kiwi tucker with reasonable prices. They even sell L&P.
Excellent coffee in a fabulous location! Yummy food options as well. To get served here though can be quite an ordeal esp if it's slightly busy, so don't go if you're in a rush anywhere!! Toilets downstairs were in a right old state, disgusting! Great place though to grab a good take-away coffee.
I used to go here quite a bit when I worked in the Blues Bar around the corner from Sacred. I've always like their coffee, however I went by Sacred recently and realised how unorganised everything is. Ordering can be quite chaotic because of a fusion of the lack of eye contact and acknowledgment from the barista's and the awkward layout of the place. In other words, the atmosphere here is quite shabby but, the coffee has never ever failed to impress me. So, a take-away flat white it is!
It's in a great location near Carnaby Street in the heart of the Soho, the atmosphere is cool but, their coffee is not as good as in so many other places around this area. Don't get me wrong, their coffee is much better than the regular chains....but I was expecting more. The Flat White came with a beautiful Latte Art, it was rich and creamy but something was missing there, at least for me, it is this thing that will make you go to a cafe and really enjoy the coffee. It is a cool place but if you really in the hunt for 'The perfect cup of coffee' there are too many places around Soho that will provide you a better dose of caffeine than in Sacred coffee.
After sitting in at Fernandez and Wells around the corner, we popped in here for some takeaway coffees. It was pretty manic, but we managed to order. When our drinks came out, they came as two cappuccinos, when we had ordered a cap and a flat white. A bit of a fail, but it was quickly rectified. My cap was a touch stronger than the last and it was fairly well on the mark. I'd go again.
