This place serves a flat white in a cup the size of a medicine swig. The coffee was bitter as burnt and when I asked for a refund, the owner promptly and flat out refused. The dialogue? 'No', my coffee is not bitter and you're not getting a refund" even though my tactful case was explained that as a CUSTOMER I'd rather my overpriced coffee refund, than to pay rip off prices and refused a rectification/agreement that could have saved the situation and used a bit of common decency. Disgusting behaviour to say the least. This café has a lot to learn. As for the owner? Show some tact and listen to your customers - a shave wouldn't go astray either. Pathetic.
New Row has been my go to place for a while now. It is sad to say however, that with the radical changes in staff, which seem to be happening on a weekly basis, it has certainly taken its toll on the coffee and the overall atmosphere. Baristas are simply unfriendly and have lost all the joy and fun I experienced a few weeks ago. My last visit could have been compared to visiting the morgue, the coffee that day would have definitely done the job. Sorry New Row, but you're not what you used to be!
