Lovely place on the canal serving great coffee. Living only 5 minutes away from here, I love it for Sunday brunch or just as a place to chill and read a book. It serves quite a variety of food as well, and so its often used for friends and family reunions. I only wish there were more like these in the area!
What a huge asset to the neighbourhood - this place has seriously improved my trip to work. Smooth, creamy flat whites and good rich cortados, served "just right", hot but certainly not boiled. Nice pastries, and they do neat things with eggs that hit the right spot at the weekend. The friendliest staff by some distance. Say hi to Ika behind the counter. They are a "coffee and cava bar" - so open late (Tuesday to Thursday, and poss. Saturday - ask Ika) for cava and other Iberian treats, not least jamon. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere and cool calm colours, comfy seats (something that cafes all too often get wrong) including two welcoming bucket armchairs. So good that before long I expect it will start outgrowing its space. NB: It's ever so slightly tricky to spot, despite being in plain view - the overhead signage is confusing, but look for the Cortado logo on the window - it's between the estate agent's and the mini-supermarket.
