I love their coffee at home and most other places that use their roasts BUT these guys offer next to no service at their own cafe. This morning was the last time I will visit. Staff were very blunt and didn’t engage at all, I felt like it was a huge hassle for them to rinse my keep cup. Then the guy who was making the coffee sloshed the milk in with no care for the crema. Looks like keep cup owners don’t get latte art??! Filled to 10mm below the top of the cup. So you can imagine the overall taste wasn’t wonderful, this may in part have been due to the old coffee in the lid of my keep cup which they didn’t want to wash and made me hold for some reason. Guys, don’t rest on you fame, strive constantly for the best experience for your customers, if you don’t want to deal with the public then just focus on wholesale. Oh, and ask your staff to smile 🙂
Came here twice. Cool little roastary hidden in an industrial area. Asked for a magic and was pleased to see it came in a 6oz cup! Epic balance of flavours in the first blend I had but i think they changed blends the second time I came and wasn’t as epic the 2nd time. Overall one of the better coffees I’ve had in Hobart though.
Service? I was the only customer, the other two were already seated, & asked Do you just want coffee? To which I replied & breakfast. You have to order at the counter. Ok looking for menus? My husband enters & I call out, grab a menu! She lets him know that the menu is on the board?😖 Wow Coffee arrived, too weak had to order double shot. Maybe I was expecting too much from the no1 cafe? I was feeling optimistic as I approached down the alley, getting a similar vibe as Monk Bodhi Dharma (Balaclava Melb). The interior is cool & hipster, but John & I were treated as if we were not cool or hipster enough. 😳
