7's all the way. A solid 7. Good coffee's (but very hard to go wrong with Toby Estate being served). Food really tasty, quite the adventurous menu, yet missing the classics.... no pancakes.... Not that cheap, but not stupid expensive.... a solid 7.

Mmmm vitasoy, come on guys, get with it. Bonsoy is worth the cash and is expected in all reputable cafes these days. Douchey male barista with beard making coffee, check Female waitress who told us to wait for two minutes for no reason then to tell us to sit wherever we wanted (there were plenty of free tables the entire time, just some weird power thing? We've noticed generally crap service in Tassie so I guess this is common). Coffee was watery and ruined by the cheap powdery tasting soy milk. Bad choice and no idea why this place has a high rating. The atmosphere is also very bland and generic. It's just not quite there yet. A pretty depressing place to hang out.

Have to give a 10 for service, as the place was closed for Christmas break when I peered in the window, desperate for a fix. Owner was cleaning up but let me in and made me a coffee! Coffee was good, not great, but forgiven because he was probably out of practice. Will have to go back now they are open!

Not the best in Hobart, but definitely the best in northern suburbs.

The breakfast scene at Salt is extremely popular, even before 9am this Cafe is humming with locals. The decor is ultra modern, predominately black and pale grey with accents of bright yellow, anchored by a pebbled concrete floor. Groups of tables and chairs divided by half walls which lower the noise and bench seats across one wall add extra comfort. Framed antique posters are a striking decorative feature and large sliding windows open to a footpath alfresco area. Separate menus for breakfast lunch and dinner offer a wide range of international, contemporary dining options. The locally roasted coffee was excellent. Definitely noted in our diary.

A really flat coffee. Can't taste the coffee at all! Too milky. I am from Melbourne was trying to look for a breakfast place before a long trip to Launceston and the coffee is a big disappointed. Breakfast menu looks normal nothing special and it's just ok. Not a big wow for it.
