After reading about this place my wife and I were very keen to check it out. It's a small place with a cosy atmosphere, although our seats up the back were a little crammed in so I constantly had staff shuffling past me carrying stuff and apologizing. The food we ordered was a little disappointing, sardines on toast with pickled vegetables were a can of sardines, some toast and a bowl of pickles. It was tasty but for the better part of $20 I like a little bit of love to go into the food, at least they peeled the tin lid of the sardines back for me. Just not into the whole deconstructed do it yourself vibe, I can do that at home. The coffee was good, I drink soy and the acidity of the coffee was pushing it to the edge, so a tiny bit bitter and could have been hotter but that's personal taste. The homemade apricot Danish on the way out was delish! Would go back for this.
Small. Somewhere to go if you want quiet, cosy. They don't have a freezer so I couldn't get an iced latte. Serving sizes large (gigantic, couldn't finish it), not a huge menu selection but good quality, interesting, fresh, local produce and well presented. Lazy lunch with a book kind of place, not for big groups or Monday morning rush.
