Great service and baristas tweak your coffee if you ask. Very good brew and nice smooth milk. Play around with your choice as some days cappucino was perfect thin froth and others a little too much. But great overall. We are fussy Melbourne coffee lovers but this place passes the test with flying colours! Strongly recommend. Staff very lovely and honest ethical approach to supply chain so they are doing a great job.
After visiting the Hanoi Social Club I went to Oriberry again - I think the coffee at Oriberry is at the level of Hanoi Social Club - of course always keep in mind that a 9 in Hanoi is not a 9 in lets say Melbourne. Oriberry has a very different vibe compared to the other reviewed coffee shops due to the location right on West Lake. If you are in town for sure check this place out -besides close to the cafe (~100m) is perhaps one of the best bakeries and butcher shops in Hanoi.
I went to the place after reading HanoiJo's review . He is spot on - of course this is a relative rating - for Hanoi I found the coffee indeed very good -the view of West Lake particular from the upstairs is fantastic and the staff is really nice. I think with better beans and attention to the roasting they would be capable of producing a great cup of coffee - so if one happens to live here this is a great place to seek out if one is a bit tired of the classical vietnamese coffee. While one would not want to come all the way to Hanoi for the taste of this coffee the combination of the place, the lake view and overall atmosphere works.
Best Coffee experience I've had in Hanoi and the fact that Oriberry is run by a local Ngo to support local & indigenous farmers in Vietnam is such a bonus! My favourite is the Khe Sanh Arabica it's so creamy! I've been living in Hanoi for 6 months and have just found out you can order their Coffee beans online with free delivery - www.oriberry.com. Also, if you live in the Tay Ho area I hear they are opening a new cafe at 25 Xuan Dieu with a great view of West Lake! http://www.facebook.com/Oriberry for more Info!
A cute little cafe serving locally grown, fair trade coffee and claiming "100% Single Origin Arabica". Friendly, quick service and coffee that is a step above what you'll generally find in Hanoi. Well positioned near the Backpacker-Magnet, Hanoi Backpackers Hostel. Give it a go! espresso - 18,000VND (or about $0.80 AUD)
