I generally take home unground beans for use in filter coffee's at home and im always impressed with the single origin beans on offer. Furthermore the offer of a complimentary coffee with bean purchase is great to see what sort of flavour notes I should be hitting. The boys prepare me a v60 pourover and it's always amazing.
I finally got a chance to drop in while on a trip up from Sydney. I wasn't disappointed. I rated my espresso 9 out of 10 and my flat white an 8. They used their Nero blend for the espresso and the Platino blend to cut through the milk in my flat white. The staff were friendly and pleasant top talk to. This was just after Cyclone Debbie hit Queensland and there was still a lot of heavy rain falling. The warming coffee was very much needed as I was soaked getting from the car to the cafe. They make an espresso and flat white how I like, I think they use Dairy Farmer's Crema milk, happy with the sweetness. The setting is industrial with machines to view and a paper to read. They say their roasted beans are best at ten days old - haven't tried as yet. My favourite coffee on the coast.
