I was in Lakeview (my local) during the weekend enjoying a great coffee and food when a table was seated near me they were quite abrupt with the staff to begin with an there was a mistake somewhere, the the rude display that I saw was appalling they were rude to the staff at every turn. The staff tried to help but there is no helping some people! I have written this review only because of the last two untrue reviews left and because I really enjoy Lakeview!
Dear Manager, I too was unfortunately apart of this incident yesterday and your version of what happened is a complete fabrication. I am not going to repost about the poor service however his review was 100% accurate and i cannot for the life of me understand how you got such a high rating. I was at the register when the correct order was made and at the table when the waiter demanded we must pay for the missing meals before replacing them - it was laughable. The suggestion you were going to give a discount was equally laughable as you never bothered to come to our table to simply apologise. I too will complain about your post that is basically BS to protect your rating. Finally for the record my coffee was weak and luke warm, maybe next time just provide decent service.

I have witnesses that have expressed their discomfort at the display of aggressive behavior, also the system is an auitable system with a total tracking and is not changeable so if the meals we not on the docket, they were not ordered i also have cctv footage of the display. your attitude is not wanted or acceptable in our local cafe. if you wish to take this matter further please contact me directly as what your doing is slander.
We used Beanhunter to find this place, as the app has never failed me in the past. We walked with friends and family 1km to get here. They somehow managed not to enter our food order in their system correctly. 5 pax, 5 hot drinks and 5 mains were ordered, checked twice with the waitress at the till with my brother-in-law standing with me. We started smelt a rat when only 3 sets of cutlery came out, followed by three meals. Anyone can make a mistake. What followed was the issue. No real apology. An implication that it was our fault. The suggestion that we were sharing three plate. Then after checking the waiter at the table saying that only if I came back in and paid for the missing dishes would they place the order! I went in to do so, and went through the whole order again. Manager said no real explanation for the snafu, promised the missing plates would be quick (which they weren’t). I suggested that maybe staff training was an issue. By the time these two plates arrived everyone else had finished. Many places in this situation might offer a free coffee or a bit of cake, or even one or both of the missing dishes on the house but not these people, who clearly have no idea about simple concepts of service or genuine apology. Blaming the customer as the first step is usually a bad course of action!

HI as the Manager and the Person watching the Interaction this is not in any way what happened as I was watching the entire time, firstly the Person serving you was a male and he being a trainee was being watched I would have stepped in if anything went wrong secondly you never ordered the meals and even refused to say the the name of the Special even though there were two, the Going over of the order did not happen, but there was an issue with the Eftpos system that was quickly fixed. Now to the delivery there was no implication of it being your fault ever just a simple question to ascertain the situation, the delivery of the meals in question happened with in 7 min as i timed everything, this is fast for fresh cooked meals. My not saying anything other than sorry was the only possible course of action because we didn't want to blame you and we never did even though the meals were never ordered, now when you came in you were extremely rude to the staff member at the counter who felt so threatened that I had to step in then you were rude to my self, I was actually about to send out a free round and give you a 50% discount on the unordered meals but when you conducted yourself in a way that made my staff an regular customers feel uncomfortable I left the matter at a simple sorry. I re iterate you were never blamed until this reply, We can not supply you with what you want if you fail to tell us and the demeanour you held towards my staff was un acceptable as my staff did everything they could. if you feel the need to take this further please contact me during the week. On another note I will be flagging this review as it is not a review to the standards of our coffee.
