Visited a few times for coffees (espressi and flat whites) and overall just above average. Milk based a bit too hot on all occasions, and on one of the visits, the coffees tasted harsh and burnt. However, possibly one of the better coffee places in the local vicinity. Main coffee is the Killerbee blend from Single O, and they also served single origins (including from another roaster).
Wow!! What a wonderful experience. The staff- cheerful, friendly and welcoming. The venue, bright and sunny but with softly shady spots for those less inclined to the morning sunshine and warmth. The service was prompt and professional. The coffee was full of flavour- dark, sweet caramelised natural sugars with hints of hazelnut and citrus from a group of friendly, cheerful baristas.
The Elk Espresso is located at the beach end of the Oasis Shopping Complex and we arrived Judy before 3pm which was fortunate as we were able to order food before the kitchen closed at 3. Piccolos were ordered immediately and were served quite quickly. They had been prepared well in excess of 65 degrees but were still quite pleasant to drink once they cooled down a bit. Food was ok but nothing special. Service was quick and efficient.
