I really do love this place! The mornings that i am in the area and manage to pop in is such a treat! The service is warm and polite and the girls always remember my order, even though i am not as regular as i would like to be. And the coffee hits the spot every time. It's not the strongest of beans so i do recommend a double shot 3/4 filled flat white/latte for the people that like a good kick in the mornings. Yes, it is a wee bit on the pricier side, but hey, if you want good service and a tastey coffee, it is worth the $$. Plus the homewares are great! Thanks for being a great, go-to, reliable cafe!
Came in on a Saturday afternoon and had an espresso that the barista kindly put in a ceramic cup (Take aways only) for me. Purple haze was fruity and smooth as is the cold drip. No kitchen, but there is a food fridge with cakes, slices, sandwiches etc that looked very tempting. Plenty of retail items really set the tone of the shop, very relaxed and inspiring. Been here 3 times, quite impressed, great secret nook across from Magic Mountain shopping area, the last time as always when trying to impress fell flat, double shot caffeine addict friend very unimpressed by bitter burnt cappuccino, its an interesting concept, surrounded by overpriced gold coast art and gifts, too many flies to swat, not a good experience in high summer, and won't be back.
Coffee at Canvas is by way of a La M/Uncle Joes duo, available only in cardboard, nicely textured but I have to agree with some of the recent reviewers.... a little on the milky side for mine and lacking flavour but an easy drinking coffee for later in the day. Having said that, I really enjoyed the ambience of the place, from the background music, the artwork and the seating options. A pleasant place to spend some time.
