This place rocks I was served by Jake who is truly an amazing Barista, who shows full passion, great coffee knowledge and a true lover high quality coffee. Tried the Illubabor (Western Ethiopian) Single Origin as a latte, which is best suited with milk it presented a nice clean cup with a sweet floral, fruity, almond essence and slight cocoa aroma, with notes peach/ apricot preserve, honey and juicy cane sugar with hints of cocoa roast taste with a rather dense body, moderate brightness and a tangy apricot / lemon acidity comes through on the finish. Latte art top notch, and this place has come a long way. Noticed they are serving the same house blend (Moksta) and Single Origin (Illubabor) as Lavish Café!
Visited a few weeks ago with some friends, the staff were quick to pass us off even though it we were one of the only groups in there, we felt as if we were treated like a number rather then a customer. The food was brilliant, could not fault it, generous portions and tasted amazing, The latte was good, really smooth, although the shot was split and could have done with being straight. Espresso was over extracted and almost tasted burnt, the second one was alot better. More consistency in the coffee would be great, shame to ruin quality cartel beans. But all round a nice place, and the interior was clean and tidy. Good work guys.
