Service is very average to say the least, place is too small, coffee is ok (would expect more with the tools that are at the disposal of the barista).

A Spot For Joe. Walking in, one can be impressed immediately by the inviting artwork and beautiful sound of grinding and light chatter. The space itself is well thought out, with many seating options available, as well as the now-popular "community table" decorated with modern plantation ornaments and the day's papers. The service itself is precise and punctual - the friendly smiles is quite endearing and warrants a return smile. The selection of food is quaint, but somewhat plentiful; many focaccia and small panini headlining the fridge. A nice row of juices available for those who desire some sugary treats with food or for young ones. The coffee itself is beautiful in all forms - lattes are beautifully designed and temperature is spot on, but at times can be slightly underwhelming in taste and texture. The biggest winner is Dukes coffee in a black - a long black or a cortardo (also known as the Australian 'piccolo') is the way to drink it. It's powerful, packed full of flavour and is deliciously smooth across the palate. In all, A Spot for Joe delivers on a small, warm and friendly environment, serving gorgeous strong, black coffee with welcoming and engaging staff. A must for the coffee enthusiast, or those who are looking for a new experience in the coffee world.

Dropped in for a early coffee on the way through Geelong this morning on way to the art supply store next door. Cool location with parking and kind of warehouse backstreet feel. Friendly service, nice coffee and I love the mural size 1950s Palm Springs photo.
