It wasn't to bad for coffee. If this cafe was elsewhere I highly doubt it would rate in the 7's for its coffee. Milk was not textured well and the shot was poured to long. It wasn't awful but it was disappointing. Food was good. A bit over priced but well made and good flavour. Nice atmosphere.
Dubbo's best kept secret!!? Not sure about the above statement, it was on the wall. My pair of pics were ok, one was like a mini cappuccino sans chocolate, Bills beans were certainly not mishandled, however, it stands to mention that perhaps some basic process tips would not go astray, rinsing jugs in between uses makes better coffee, pouring off half of the jug and pouring both pics as individuals would have prevented my cappuccino like piccolo, but you know what? These are just quibbles, I enjoyed my coffee, I loved the fact I could taste the coffee, it was not bitter and over extracted, but I could taste the last portions if steamed milk. The young thing that made my coffee could easily step up a knotch by dotting a few I's this was the best coffee I had so far this weekend!! Cheers
Driving back to Brisbane from Corryong and used Beanhunter to find this place. Great business, an old house turned into a mecca for yummy food and coffee. We needed takeaways to get back on the road, but the coffees going out for eat in looked fantastic. I was super keen to get ours. Disappointingly our Barista didn't put as much effort in to the takeaways as she did the in house coffees. I don't expect late art on a takeaway, but the milk was just dumped in the cups, destroying the crema and leaving no silky foam. The coffees were nice, but after seeing that...I think it took away the usual joy of your first sips. Nice flavour, good temp...not very strong or robust. But could have been so much more.....
