I’ve been to Beach House Cafe regularly on weekends over the past 12 months for a pre or post surf coffee. Earlier in the piece the coffee was of a decent standard, however the past several experiences have left a bad taste (pun intended). The coffee has been too hot and the days I’ve ordered caps the cups has been filled to the brim with piping hot milk with no head resulting in burns to my mouth and even my hands when the lid was removed to cool off. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, staff all seem fine however lack a bit of enthusiasm or genuine cheer. Prime shop front with nice decor and view 100m from the beach. Hope things take a turn for the better, so much potential! (Being a beach town, maybe a switch to composting takeaway cups would also be a nice touch)

Returned after a year and mentioned that our previous coffees had been a little hot. The barista kindly redid the milk to 65 degrees and as a result the coffees were excellent. Good service.

Our flat whites tasted very good (strong with a touch of bitterness which lingered in the mouth) but were a touch too hot. The freshly made scones were delicious and were served with real cream with a touch of vanilla and strawberry jam. Service was great.

Third time at beach house and the first time I’ve had a full breakfast. Bloody hell, it was good. I had the Spanish bowl and a long black and geez. I’ll continue to make the detour off the highway for this tasty treat. Service was also really good. Great job everybody at Beach House!

Lovely cafe with nice ambience inside and out the back. Dog friendly outside at the front too. Good service and food was nice although smaller portions for brekkie than we are used to. Coffee was really good though... creamy and good strength and temperature.

With decor reminiscent of the diner from Home & Away, I was a little worried walking into the Beachouse Cafe. However, as I was pleasantly greeted by the chipper barista my doubts quickly subsided. When my coffee arrived I almost had one of those situations where you burn the entire surface area of your mouth which subsequently ruins the rest of your week as everything that enters your mouth then has the relative flavour of those "new improved"" arnotts shapes (painful and unnecessary). However, after a short walk, my flat white had cooled to a temperature compliant with human consumption and I was again pleasantly surprised with a well balanced, strong flavoured beverage that brought me back to life. Good job Beachouse Cafe.
