Coffee was superb! Must have hit peak hour as there were no tables free, so just got a takeaway. What a great set up. One staff member quite noticeably had the shits and was mumbling and rolling her eyes at something. But other staff were polite. Will definitely return for a more chilled out experience.
Coffee is good quality and baristas know what they are doing, the food is nice. The place is really busy during lunch hours which shows love and loyalty of the customers, but the service depends on the person. There's a grumpy guy who keeps working there, but the coffee is worth coming back for!
This is a little oasis in Cardiff, provided that you attend on a weekday (when the head barista Trevor is in). His accolades adorn the walls and rightly so. Rarely have I been served by someone with such a knowledge and genuine love for his craft. Excuse me for gushing, but if you're in Cardiff and are in need of a great coffee, come and visit Trev'.
Given the previous review I was a bit skeptical about what I was going to get, but was pleasantly suprised. Can't comment on the food situation as I didn't have any, but the coffee was good and welcomed after a long day of driving. I had a flat white which was served with a double shot, good texture and nice rounded flavour. There were some signs up talking about a placing in a barista championship so obviously they're on the right track. Worth checking out, particualry as the location is unique in an old arcade.
Nice little place in an old arcade right in the heart of Cardiff. Staff can be a little confused and the owner who wonders around seems more suited to not being anywhere near customers as he is always shouting around useless instructions to his poor staff. Food is in the style of undergraduate cooking, with a range of toasties and jackets. Breakfast is a big let down with bacon tasting microwaved! Despite all this the coffee is great and if in need of a cup I would go here as a 1st stop in Cardiff. The barista clearly knows what he is doing,
