Stand By Me has now clearly settled into its skin. It’s evolved into a comfortable operation with a bankable list of regulars from all walks of life, and the service has remained friendly and efficient throughout the transition. The bean in the hoppers has morphed also. It’s now a more muscular roast, though at the expense of a refined finish. An all-round solid experience nonetheless.
This is a fab cafe but sadly their barrista must be on hols. The food we had today was ok but my long black could have been instant coffee. Even after I asked about the lack of crema on my coffee, it was taken back and one exactly the same came back. And it was weak and tasteless. I'll go back because they are usually much better than this but it will after the summer holidays.
