Now whilst this is busy and buzzy and noisy it’s different to Cupping room. I can cope with this noise. Having the Fin and Australian to read is a bonus Bonsoy prerequisite✅ Coffee is good but I’m attracted more to the vibe and decoration and service. I felt comfortable. Friendly staff and not too bright and shiny.
Having frequent Sydney and Melbourne cafes and seeing the fierce competition it's nice to see a concept in Canberra focussing on a brilliant cup in a smooth and upbeat atmosphere. Coffee is very full bodied, blends with the milk to present on the palate in a pleasant and unobtrusive manner. Wouldn't mind a touch more sweetness from the beans but that's my personal preference. My only gripe is that the service is Order at the Counter style - that aside, very well executed concept, good job Harvest Team!
From the moment I walked in, I understood the comments about the service. They do 'lovely' well. Coffee was a fuller body... but definitely wasn't burnt. Very smooth experience, comfy chairs and chill atmosphere. Not power points though, so not a workers' coffee shop :)
I tried this place based on good reviews on beanhunter, and felt so happy doing so. The cafe was kind of unique. It has a nice dark decor and pleasant design with lots of space and light. All ladies working there were really pleasant - maybe not way too friendly - but not aloof, just busy with serving good coffee. I was not sure about what coffee they used, and felt a bit hot after walking a lot in the sunny winter day, so tried their cold drip from Colombia by Seven Seeds. It had really good body and lingering sweetness and a bit of earthiness - which was interesting - but very easy to drink. They also have lots of regulars and offer very personable services. It was worth visiting.
