Coffee was ok. No complaints. I have the pleasure of visiting alot of coffee shops around Canberra. Can’t remember having to pay $5.20 for a large latte like I did at Fox & Bow. Not complaining, they are well within there rights to charge what they like. As I’m well within my rights to pay less for a better coffee elsewhere.
This is going to sound a little odd, but I mean it in the most complimentary way – my takeaway flat white this afternoon was the first I’ve ever sampled that tasted just like an iced coffee! I live for the bitter punch, so I can’t imagine being able to commit to this roast long term, but it was smooth and creamy and delighted with delicious confectionary notes from the very first sip. An amazing brew! A hidden gem on Farrer’s suburban shopping strip, Fox and Bow is bustling, warm and filled with light, by way of large windows, an on trend fit out, and a variety of seating options. Service was friendly and fast. Worth travelling across town for.
