Spice is the smallest take away coffee operation on the Australian continent. For 2 years now we have been serving the largest and most alternative drinks menu in the Bay, direct to the people on the street. We value good vibes, honesty, good intentions, the simple things, great chats, people and the richness of our connections. We push the limits of what you can offer to a community through a cafe and small business. Check out our menu and you will see that every word in this bio is solid and present. Thanks for your support and everything that you bring. Bless. Kane and Lon.
I love Spice with all my heart. They made me a mocha, on coconut milk, with macadamias and hemp seeds blended through it. I can only imagine, that if God lactated, this is what his breast milk would taste like. Seriously, don’t get this coffee if you don’t live in the area, because if you have to fly home to Melbourne or Azerbaijan, and spend the rest of your life dreaming of this coffee, and the rest of your days, trying to figure out a way to get back to Byron Bay... What kind of life is that? Honourable mentions go out to the fig and pistachio brownie, and the hazelnut love bite. Also, Zulu is the best German Shepherd in the world.
Tried to pay with a $50 note - “oh we don’t accept that sorry.” Ok, I’ll pay with card then “yep that’s 30c extra.” Ok, fine, but I did offer cash so the right thing to do is provide a quality customer experience and waive the surcharge in this case (that’s what I’d do if it was my fault that I didn’t have a big enough float). Ok I’ll just have a tax invoice please. “No we can’t provide that.” Ok so you’re illegally trading as well! And after all that he can’t even put the lid on my coffee. There was no-one waiting. He was just being lazy. Coffee is ok. Nothing special.
