Merlo coffee was good (I've never had a Merlo that's blown me away so maybe that's just stuck in my head). I was on my own so sat at the bar and seemed to be left alone - odd when I'm sitting less than a metre from staff. Had to ask for a menu and water glass was left empty. Breakfast was tasty if not a bit rustic (my bacon had equal parts of meat and rind/fat). Very nice atmosphere - looks like a great place for lunch or dinner.
Coffee is nothing special here. Don't get me wrong it's not horrible, it's slightly above average though. The service here can be slow due to staff being outweighed 20:1 in the busier parts of the day (breakfast 7 - 9 and lunch 12 - 2). The short man who is a manager I think can be very blunt at times, I've seen him yell at people for putting their feet on chair legs before. Good for a cheap quick coffee.
