Decent coffee, take away only, for a grab and go, not for a sit and sip. Sustainably sourced beans and good level of knowledge about this are a plus. They close around 3 pm so really for the morning crowd. I was served by a staff member, not the owner and she was pleasant although it seemed to take a few shots to get the extraction right. Gladly she made sure I got the good one.
I dropped in this cute little espresso bar as I could not find the cafe I originally planned to visit. The service was really friendly and prompt. They only serve coffee in a take away cup, so I ordered flat white. They use Bacano coffee. Coffee tasted slightly darker than I prefer and I could find some acridity which I often find in milky coffee now but not too overpowering. This place is a decent place with the nice setting at a small space next to the footpath and friendly service. Worth going when you are in the area.
Doing good coffee is one thing, but these guys do it consistently, which is what sets them apart. Not to mention great value ($4 for a large coffee, better than most cafes around). The service is great. after only a few visits, the frontman remembered my name and order. extra points for asking how my name is spelled, rather than making an assumption like most people. good atmosphere for a hole-in-the-wall cafe, and good taste in music (Zeppelin was playing this morning. nice)
