The coffee is drinkable but try to avoid this chaotic place until later in the afternoon. Cannot fault the service or food but its too loud inside to have a restful read of the papers. Its like sitting in the middle of Myers at sale time. Choose your time carefully or sit outside. The din drives me crazy. Its not a café for quiet conversation. It lost its charm when they expanded. I also dislike sharing my personal space at community tables.
This is probably a better food stop than a coffee stop but we love it here. The coffee is pretty average but quite drinkable; Vittoria isn't one of my favourite brews and the barista is very rushed, as they are always so busy. We enjoy the (huge range of) food, the atmosphere and the always friendly and efficient staff.
I love the concept of this place, I mean it is coffee heritage in New Farm and Brisbane. I love the Deli, the shelf products and the food is mostly good. I would love to give it more, but sadly the *love* and passion is lost in the busy chaos of customers and staff. The coffee was okay, strong, nice crema and foam, but just a plop of white foam with no effort for any attempt at latte art. Good temp and a nice flavour. But you can see the passion of coffee extraction and pour is lost in the pressure of service. A crying shame, that NF Deli doesn't refocus back on coffee too.
