For an Archerfield based coffee shop, you can't do any better than this! Staff are wonderful and the coffee is always fresh and delicious with plenty of bean varieties on offer. They roast their own beans in house which isn't common in the area. I often pop over for an afternoon break and love having these guys close by. Hot and cold snacks are also available and are of good consistent quality. They've done a great job converting the industrial building into a friendly place to stop by for a coffee.

Simon and Flora started out roasting small batches of coffee at home in their garage until the neighbours complained. It was time to move! A 30kg roaster now takes prime position … It looks like an early Iron Man prototype in colour and design. In fact Simon has so much energy and enthusiasm, he could easily fill the role of Tony Stark with Flora, like Pepper Potts, maintaining the calm. He can make sausages, design new coffee brewing apparatus (the BrewOver … Stay tuned!), prepare for cupping, make coffee and light the BBQ all while we sipped a couple of flat whites and a short black on the Intenso ‘testing’ blend. The flat whites delivered smooth chocolatey flavours while the short black was sweet and well extracted. The real aromatic pleasure came with the cupping experience. We moved to the Manna Beans shop front and saw a cacophony of coffee from Yemen, Australia, Panama, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Honduras. It’s always a great sensory pleasure to smell and slurp your way around the world of coffee. The spicy notes of the Yemen and the velvet fruitiness of the Panama Geisha were delightfully different, yet delightfully delicious … the two standouts for the three beans. Before we even finished thinking how delightful the Geisha was, Simon was already preparing the V60 equipment for a pour over. No more slurping, it was time to savour a cup of coffee best described as liquid velvet. Manna beans roast on demand and get their hands on diverse and numerous green beans. If energy, enthusiasm and hospitality are anything to go by, you get a sense that Manna Beans at Archerfield are ready to take off for a bright future.
Wow, what a discovery on our bike ride. This was more of a coffee roastery but did have a cafe at the front. Unexpected to find a coffee roastery here with such an extensive coffee range in Archerfield as most tend to be in the West End. Ordered a Latte for my wife which was a Yemen coffee and had a Kenya single origin through the siphon. Coffee was amazing and service too. The owner even gave me a tour of the roastery. Definitely be back
Amongst the industrial estate of archerfield this little roastery lives. Good quality beans and a number of single origins to choose from. It's more of a roastery then cafe but definitely worth the drive. I purchased a Nicaragua San Jose Javanica single origin(91.25 cupping). Really nice as a long black and will be back
