This cafe changed its owner, and now uses Bellissiomo. The food menu became very banal like any suburban cafes. I guess that is what their main clients require at this place. They do a good job, but to be honest, nothing to urge me to go back. Coffee was not bad though. I did not expect a high quality after seeing the very dark roasted coffee and decaf option with a standard dark roasted beans. Coffee was pleasant to drink, and served very quickly. Service was not too bad and ladies working there were quite friendly. That is very unfortunately they have lost uniqueness...
Really love this place as all important factors for a good cafe - food, coffee and service - are present here. Service is always nice and friendly, coffee is well-made (I love both espresso and filter), food is very tasty. It can be a bit noisy and warm (in summer) if you sit indoor. Some may find it does not have a good atmosphere as it faces to a busy road, but still, as another reviewer said, it is nice particularly in summer. I always love their black coffee as they do not have any bitterness, with lots of sweetness and lingering flavour. They normally offer good milk-based coffee too. It is worth travelling.
Just had a standard flat white on the house blend after having lunch next door. Service was great (although it was a relatively quiet time) and the coffee was quite creamy but with distinct full flavour. Probably would go a double next time. Good luck to these guys, they are up against a lot of thriving coffee spots in the area such as black sheep, WGSC, dovetail, etc.
Sitting at the bottom of a new Hotel/Serviced Apt block on main Logan road, Locavore has a clean interior fit out with a few outside tables and an all day menu. I had never tried Marvell Street coffee from Byron Bay before and found my FW to be well made and easy drinking without standing out. We were there on a quiet day and both had meals - nice touch with breakfast and lunch options being available all day. Again, everything was ok without standing out, however, on some menu items the prices are a little over the top for what is plated up. There is a lot of competition creeping in around Woolloongabba, and while everything was ok, I just didn't feel the vibe as much as some people have on social media on my visit.
