I was totally disgusted with the service that was happening today, the signs stated that you could pay for gifts drinks etc in the gift shop but this was impossible as no staff was on today. I had like others to queue up in the cafe to purchase gifts to take back to England I was there for over half a hour waiting. I am a disabled woman with an elbow crutch having to stand in line & wait for this length of time. No consideration shown for the gift shop customers. Not a nice experience to take back to the UK . The staff that was working in the cafe were very helpful & understanding. This my 3rd trip to Brisbane visiting family but I will not be buying anything again in the gift shop or cafe. I was left feeling deflated & disappointed with my visit to Mt Coot-tha.

Our apologies regarding the wait time to purchase your gifts here at Kuta recently. During quiet times in the gift shop, our staff will move to the cafe to assist. However, you shouldn't have been left waiting and our team should have noticed that there were other customers requiring service. This has been forwarded to our manager to look into, so we appreciate your feedback and whilst it wasn't a good experience, we do hope you return on another of your visits as this is not at all our usual standard. Best regards Kuta Cafe Team

The view is obviously great, but the coffee, nah. Bitter and bad aftertaste. I've been here many times and the coffee is consistently disappointing. If there's something else you like, eg ice cream, hot chocolate, food, whatever, you better spend your money on that. Don't bother with the coffee.

Such a shame about the bitter coffee. I live closeby and it's a lovely spot to relax and read, while surrounded by an awesome view...just tune out the loud tourists! But the coffee is consistently woeful. Maybe they think because most people are visitors and won't be back they don't have to bother with good coffee.

The coffee is ok here, certainly a beautiful view. Macchiato was bitter, but the aftertaste was actually quite smooth. Not worth the drive up the hill, but if you're up there and in need of caffeine, if will suffice!

While this Cafe has arguably one of the best locations around Brisbane with amazing views on a clear day out to Moreton Island and generally across SEQ it does some what fall short when it comes to the coffee. Admittedly the cafe does occur in a some what isolated location and as such a steady flow through of customers may not be maintained throughout the week. This coupled with the fact that the Lookout is a notorious hang out for tourists and pimple faced stingy teens on dates, looking for some sweet sweet action baby, means that the people running this place have a difficult demographic to try and cater for. Not a bad place to sit for a while even if these days i dont quite fit the style... Worth a look if your in the area, but this is by no means a mekka worthy of a pilgrimage!
