I visited this place after the change of the hand. The quality was not as good as before. They used to offer good coffee, but I did not get good feeling, so took the safe side and ordered flat white. Coffee was promptly made, but tasted quite burnt unfortunately. It was still OK to drop in if you are desperate as the atmosphere was still OK while not as cool as before.
I am so lucky this is my local - the coffee is always delic - brew is top quality. The service &ambience are just as good as 530's "neighbours" on James street and other coffee hubs. A lot of thought goes into presentation of everything from their breakie wraps to a sweet treat. I enjoy sipping my coffee reading the daily news in the sunshine, doing some work online or grabbing a takeaway on route.
I came to have a Long Black a few months ago and I have been enjoying my daily coffee here since. You can order a single origin or a fine blend to suit your palate, and one of the friendly baristas will extract it to perfection. An awesome place for having a muffin or a fruit salad too. Nice people and awesome service. Probably one of the best cafés in New Farm.
I came for the coffee, but I stayed for the service. These guys are cool cats. No stress, no fuss, and a whole lot of interesting conversation. I'm a vegetarian and in little cafes like this one sometimes it's hard to find a decent bite to eat, so I was prepared to just fill the hole in my stomach with lots of caffeine, but they had such beautiful food as well. It was just the right serving size and it was healthy too. The coffee was perfect, but let's be honest - coffee is only part of the reason we have a favourite cafe. The atmosphere here was wonderful. It was a beautiful Brisbane day so sitting outside on the balcony was lovely. It's close to the park so a walk down there afterwards isn't out of the question. It's on the main drag, but far enough away from the bustle of Brunswick street mall to make you forget that. All in all, they've done an amazing job with this space and they should be proud - it's pretty special.
The place is well located between Valley and New Farm, so less competitors. The laundromat and burger urge nearby will bring enough customer inflow. Coffee is always good and pretty consistent. I tried their two blend and S/O, all of which were very mouthwatering. Service is very attentive and a good selection of music. I would definitely go back.
